Book review- Nuclear power in India: A comparative analysis: by David Hart George Allen and Unwin, Hemel Hempstead, UK

Publication Year: 1983

Abstract:

David Hart's book on Nuclear Power in India is a useful analysis that should be of interest to readers both in developing and developed countries. The choice of India as a case study is particularly relevant since India was the first developing nation to make a strong commitment to the development of nuclear power and to research and development in the nuclear field. That the Indian nuclear programme has not performed in keeping with its original promise only adds to the relevance of this study, because the Indian case is largely representative of the problems that nuclear energy developments face in a world where constraints on transfer of technology and sale of nuclear equipment are becoming increasingly severe.
