Tata Energy Research Institute organized this event, which was attended by over 300 participants from around the world. With today's mounting global concerns regarding the effects of energy production and consumption on environment, the dangers of increased CO2 emissions and global warming, the growing gap in energy consumption between developed and developing countries, the search for renewable resources and other related issues, 'energy-environment development was an apt theme for the conference.
