A new opportunity in Kuwait

Abstract:

I have just come back from a one day trip to Kuwait where we signed a contract with the Kuwait Oil Corporation (KOC) for cleaning up oil contaminated soil in Kuwait. This is by far the largest project that TERI would be executing, and certainly the most complex in terms of the managerial challenge that it presents. It would have been easy and quite valid on our part to have not bid for this project, but we would then have foregone an important opportunity. Overall, this KOC project will be funded to the extent of 10.9 million Kuwaiti Dinars (approx. Rs.200 crores) and provides a unique opportunity to take our technology overseas.
